Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all purchases from the Dockside Marine online store. By placing an order you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, Delivery and Returns and refunds pages.

Prices and availability

All prices are in South African rand. We work hard to keep prices and stock information accurate, but errors can happen. If a price is wrong or an item is unavailable, we will contact you before processing your order and you may cancel for a full refund.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email after payment is received. We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock or a pricing error has occurred, in which case any payment will be refunded in full.

Payment

Payments are processed securely by Payfast (card, Instant EFT and SnapScan) and Payflex (4 interest free instalments, subject to approval). Orders are dispatched once payment is confirmed.

Delivery

We deliver door to door by courier within South Africa. Delivery is free on orders over R2,000. Orders under R2,000 pay the courier fee shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by courier delays outside our control. See our Delivery page.

Cancelling an online order

In line with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you may cancel an online purchase without reason within 7 days of receiving the goods. The goods must be unused and returned in their original packaging, and you are responsible for the direct cost of returning them. We will refund you within 30 days of receiving the returned goods.

Faulty goods

Under the Consumer Protection Act, goods that are defective may be returned within 6 months of delivery for repair, replacement or refund, provided the defect is not caused by misuse, incorrect installation, normal wear and tear or failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Product use and safety

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions, your engine manual and safe boating practice. Watersports carry inherent risks. Use properly fitted life jackets, have a spotter, observe rider and rope ratings, and comply with local waterway rules. Advice we give on fitment or sizing is a guide, and you remain responsible for confirming compatibility with your equipment.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Dockside Marine is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of products bought from us. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page at the time of your order applies.
