Choosing a tow rope

Each watersport needs its own rope. Ski ropes have some stretch and removable sections for slalom. Wakeboard ropes are low stretch for predictable pull. Wakesurf ropes are short and thick. Tube ropes are rated by the number of riders.

Inspect ropes before each outing and replace any that are frayed or sun damaged.

Questions we get asked

Can I use one rope for everything?

It is better not to. Tube ropes carry far higher loads, and ski ropes stretch too much for wakeboarding.

How long should a wakeboard rope be?

Sectioned ropes let you adjust the length to your boat wake. Start shorter while learning.
